FR James provided exterior finish carpentry services for the renovation of this four-story, 10,000 square-foot Pacific Heights residence in San Francisco. Our scope of work included a complete replacement of the siding and exterior trim on the existing portion of the home. To this end we recreated complex built-up Victorian trims at the doors, windows, and cornices and applied three different styles of custom cedar siding to the walls. Of special significance was our success at the challenging installation of all of these elements on the curved walls of the two turrets.
The centerpiece of our work was an elaborate decorative main entry that required the highest level of skill and precision on the part of our craftsmen.
In addition to our carpentry work, FR James contributed valuable support to the general contractor through our coordination with other trades and with the design team. FR James’ portion of this project was finished on time and on budget.
